With the 2023 College Football Season less than a month away I decided to release my annual College Football Coach rankings. This was by far the tough year to rank coaches, especially 15-25. I even left off some names that I thought I would put on like Sam Pittman or Kirk Ferntz, but when it came to this list they just were good enough whether it is a disappearing previous season in the case of Sam Pittman or nepotism leading to poor results in Kirk Ferntz case with his son running the offense into the ground last year. The top 2 coaches were the 2 easiest spots but when it came to #3 it was a tough debate between Jim Harbaugh and Dabo Swinney, at the end I went with Jim because of his recent success in getting to the playoff along with Clemson's struggles with DJ as their QB the past two years. I left Sonny Dykes just outside of the top 10 because I think that Sonny Dykes inherited a very good situation and I want to see him have another year of success before putting him ahead of coaches that have had a decade-plus of success like Brian Kelly, Kyle Wittingham, and Mike Gundy. One of the newcomers to this list is Jeff Traylor who has led the UTSA Roadrunners to 3 straight bowl appearances and back-to-back 10-win seasons. Finally, make sure you leave a comment and let your thoughts be known by checking out the poll below.
